1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms govern your access to and use of HavenDossier, including its website, accounts, evidence storage, AI-assisted observations, reports, subscriptions, and one-time Case Packages. By creating an account or using HavenDossier, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and account security

You must provide accurate account information and use an email address you control. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for activity under your account. Notify HavenDossier promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

3. Your content and evidence

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, documents, statements, and other materials you upload. You grant HavenDossier a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and format that content only as needed to operate the service, provide requested features, generate your reports, maintain security, and comply with law. You represent that you have the right to upload the content and that your use will not violate another person's rights or applicable law.

Keep original records when they are important to you. HavenDossier is a documentation tool and should not be your only copy of irreplaceable evidence.

4. AI-assisted observations

HavenDossier may use artificial intelligence to describe visible information in submitted evidence. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect and is not a diagnosis or expert conclusion. You are responsible for reviewing AI observations before approving or relying on them. Approval means you chose to include the observation in your HavenDossier record; it does not make the observation an expert finding.

5. Reports and professional evidence packages

HavenDossier reports organize information supplied or approved by you. They do not establish authenticity, causation, damages, code violations, legal liability, warranty coverage, insurance coverage, or the outcome of a dispute. A court, insurer, builder, contractor, regulator, or other recipient may accept, reject, or give different weight to a HavenDossier report.

6. Plans, subscriptions, and Case Packages

Features and limits are described on the Plans page and may include technical or reasonable-use limits. Pro subscriptions renew at the billing interval selected at checkout until canceled. You can manage or cancel an active subscription through the billing portal made available in HavenDossier. Cancellation takes effect according to the billing terms shown in the portal; access may continue through the paid billing period.

Case Packages are one-time purchases for the selected issue and do not convert the rest of the account to Pro. Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise at purchase, fees already paid are non-refundable. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use HavenDossier to upload unlawful material, infringe rights, impersonate another person, distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, bypass account or plan limits, interfere with the service, or use the service to harm another person. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or comply with law.

8. Availability and changes

We may improve, modify, or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Where practical, material changes affecting paid features will be communicated through the service or account contact information.

9. No professional advice; emergencies

HavenDossier is not a substitute for a qualified attorney, licensed contractor, engineer, inspector, insurance professional, medical professional, emergency responder, or other appropriate expert. If a condition may present an immediate safety risk, contact the appropriate emergency service or qualified professional rather than relying on HavenDossier.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, HavenDossier is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. To the extent permitted by law, HavenDossier and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

11. Termination

You may stop using HavenDossier at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violation of these Terms, security threats, fraud, unlawful use, or where required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and applicable payment obligations, will survive.

12. Contact and updates

We may update these Terms as HavenDossier evolves. The effective date above identifies the current version. Before public launch, HavenDossier's production support/contact address will be published here and in the Privacy Policy.
